I have to get plastic suregery…

April 11, 2008 at 11:16 pm (friends, fun, love, music, shows)

Yep. It’s true. I have to because I don’t even have a face anymore. It melted off at the concert! Switchfoot was absolutely INCREDIBLE! WOW… a british band called Athlete also played and Emery. I’d never heard of them before but they were great. Their keyboard/vocalist Josh Head was simply amazing! I think it could almost be deemed dangerous for someone to have that much energy! TWLOHA was there too, which is a movement I have been spreading around my school. towriteloveonherarms.com

Pretty sure my life is basically complete. ūüėČ

My life.

March 23, 2008 at 10:14 am (and...ACTION!, birthday, blog, friends, fun, life, music, orchard valley, people, school, shows)

Yes, I know I am lame lame lame.

So here’s what’s gone on in the past…oh jeez…month?

Emma came!

The musical was AMAZING!

Got a part in the jazz choir (only 7 people did so i guess that’s pretty good)

Got the part of Belle for the upcoming Disney thing. More on that later.

Great BIRTHDAY!

Hel-yeah-icopter egg drop yesterday at The Orchard.

Today I’m on my way home to Chicago to go to the Easter service at my old church.

Happy Easter to everybody!

Our Mini-Adventure in the Chi.

February 10, 2008 at 5:36 pm (food, friends, fun, haha, kids, life, orchard valley, people, youth group)

So here’s a little review of what went down yesterday.

Once we got there we went to eat at Ed Debevic’s where Ben was horribly slammed by our waitress…

….her name was Ernie but we called her Bert.

Then to be funny Ben tried to get the credit card all wet and dirty before she came back…and he accidently dropped it in.

He’s just smooth like that.

After getting lost in a parking lot with no cars in it and hitting many dead ends….

…we finally made it to the bean.

We took HUNDREDS (no exaggeration) of stupid pictures of ourselves with the bean in funny positions.

But then we realized that being superheroes was much much more fun.

But being so super is easily tiring (and we’re not the kind that have super heat laser vision so it was really cold).

So the amazing 7 ran over to Caribou.

Unfortunately, poor Ron doesn’t like to run. He got stuck in the middle of the street.

Once the whole group was reunited we sat down and winded up having some very deep and meaningful philosophical and theological conversations.

Anna apparently was quite bored with us.

¬†By the way…this is Todd. He’s a stud.

On the way back to the van we sound some awesome artwork and this humongous steel swing.

To pass the time on the way home we took billions of pictures and showed our support for TWLOHA.

And that was our insanely fun day. (as short as I could make it)

Webkins

February 3, 2008 at 5:58 pm (friends, fun, haha, kids, orchard valley, small groups)

I don’t really understand these things but apparently Hayley and I missed the memo that it was National Bring-Your-Webkins-to-Small-Group-Day, so in an effort to relate to our girls….

we turned ourselves into Webkins. Haha. Beat that.

Disappointment, Excitement, and a New Blog

December 20, 2007 at 4:23 pm (blog, christmas, friends, orchard valley, shows, youth group)

I have been hopelessly and sickeningly stingy with the blog lately as I’m sure you would agree but anywho, in other news, I didn’t make the musical (I am on 3 tech crews though), Christmas is only in 5 days now!!!, and the youth group is getting their own blog! Administered by the one and only Ben Hammond the Great. Come check us out!

Ice ice baby…

December 2, 2007 at 6:32 pm (christmas, family, food, friends, fun, haha, life, music)

It was so magically cute…

I watched A Year Without a Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolf with the boys I babysit as we munched on homemade christmas cookies. As I finished my Christmas shopping for the day I walked out the door of the store to the sight of beautiful, lovely snowflakes falling around the brightly decorated Christmas tree in the middle of the square. I had a snowball fight with one of my best friends and we went to a cute sandwich shop and listened to some live music. I was in SUCH a Christmasy mood.

Then came the ice. It’s nasty.

In the words of my dad, “Looks like the grass is covered in a butload of donut glaze.”

Only he would think of that.

Old People Just Say the Darndest Things…

November 23, 2007 at 7:53 pm (awkward, christmas, friends, haha, people)

I woke up early this morning to frost on my window and the sun piercing my room. I took a shower and got ready to the sound of cheery Christmas music. Once I arrived at Starbucks Hayley and I pushed the big comfy chairs together since they are always too far apart to have a proper conversation. After we had saved the best seats in the house with our purses, I got up to order my drink. As I was waiting for the ladies in front of me to finish I happened to catch some of their conversation about a ring..

“That is just absolutely gorgeous!”

“Simply Beautiful”

“Oh thank you dear! He bought it for our 20th anniversary.”

“AAAH! That diamond is so big I just want to bite it! Grr”

What the beep? Seriously…who says that? I’m still laughing! Oh my goodness.
